Taiwan index corporation (TIP) utilizes the Industrial Value Chain Information Platform and the Industry Categories of industries of TWSE and TPEx listed companies to select companies in semiconductor value chain for accentuating the advantage of Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing, TIP Customized Taiwan Wafer Manufacture Index (abbr. TIP Taiwan WM Index) combines Corporate Governance Evaluation, market capitalization and financial indicators for further selection. 30 constituents are then selected and weighted based on their free float market capitalization. The index is compiled to measure the performance on the companies among Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing, corporate governance and the profitability.
